Aside from updating your website to the latest possible version for your website, we will also be taking a look at what other plugins/components need to be updated in order to be compatible with the new CMS.
Examples of plugins/components are: (pls note your website may have all of these but most will not have all of these plugins/components) RS Forms, SH 404 (These are the Search Engine Friendly URLS that your website uses), RS Gallery, Phoca Guestbooks, Easyblog, Media Gallery, Community Builder, RS Events, Acymailing, Image Slider, Mosets and all Custom coding.
If you do not want your website updated, kindly inform us within 24 hours so that we don’t add it into our workspace. Otherwise, we will go ahead and do it.
If you don’t get your website updated please note a few things:
1) It won’t all work properly, either your contact forms will malfunction or your menu’s javascript will mess up or your photo gallery won’t function… and a host of other issues.
2) Your website will be a security risk in our server and we will have no choice but to request that you remove it from our server.
We are striving to continually improve website experience and a big part of this is security. Please note that if you have any content updates, now is also a good time to send it. Remember: Search Engines prefer new content.
Please contact us for any questions / clarifications, Subject should be: CMS Update if it relates to his announcement.
