We created an Ad on Facebook to get more likes for a client’s facebook page. We chose 4 images to represent the ad. 3 of those images were almost similar in that they all featured a family action shot. Their faces were visibly smiling from a distance. The last photo was just a single person taken close up and smiling.
Who do you think had the most likes?
Going into this, we sort of knew that close up photos worked better in getting more clicks but we didn’t know just how much better. Now we do.
Check out the screen shot of our Facebook Ad account. The image with the close-up of the person smiling received over five (5) times more likes than the other images. The other two ads were just a waste of money and we will be deleting those Ads today.
So next time you create an Ad on your social media account, consider the photos you are going to use. Choosing the right one can save you money and make you money at the same time.
